75 Year Roofing Slate Guarantee
Matthew Charlton Slate guarantees for a period of 75 years from the date of sale as defined as follows:

Description of Guarantee
This guarantee is only valid for Grade A first quality slates and covers any degradation and/or oxidization of the slate due to inherent defects in the material, with the exception of the natural aging of the slate. This guarantee does not cover cracked or broken slates incurred during the fixing or holing of the slate.
This guarantee is valid provided that the fixing has been carried out in strict and full accordance with the Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling as defined in BS553, Part 1: 1997 and the British Standard Code of Practice for slating and Tiling of roofs and claddings “workmanship on building site”, BS 8000, Part 6: 1990
Matthew Charlton Slate agrees to supply free of charge every slate not meeting the criteria as detailed above.
